FAQ

What are your hours of operation?
We are open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. In most cases we are able to get to a job the same day as the request.

Do you give estimates or quotes?
We know surprises are the last thing you want when your furnace or air conditioner needs service so we give quotes on every job we take. We never charge overtime and the price when we start a job will always be the price when we finish the job.

Are you family owned?
Yes, we are a family owned and operated business so we personally stand behind every job we take. Our good names and livelyhood rely on happy customers so you'll receive only the best from Countryview HVAC.

Are you licensed?
Yes, we are fully licensed and insured HVAC technicians.

Do you offer any discounts?
We are one of the few businesses to offer a veterans discount to all those who served in any branch of the armed forces. We also offer a senior citizens discount.

Can I choose what equipment you install?
Yes, if we are installing new equipment we will give you a choice of high-quality units to choose from. Because good craftsmanship is our goal, we install only high quality equipment.

How do I know what size of unit we need?
The Department of Energy recommends completing a “Manual J” heat load analysis. This takes into account factors such as size of the house, climate, the types of windows and doors and more.

What is the difference between an 80% furnace and a 90% furnace?
The percentage refers to the efficiency of the furnace. For example, if you have an 80% efficiency furnace 80 cents of every dollar spent on heating costs is converted into heat. The other 20 cents are lost up the chimney. A 90% efficient furnace would lose only 10 cents of that dollar.

What is the difference between an air conditioner and a heat pump?
Air conditioners transfer heat from the inside of your home to the outside. Heat pumps do the same way in the summer, but in the winter they can actually transfer heat from outside your home to the inside, giving you an efficient heating for your home.

How cool should I set my thermostat in the summer?
The temperature can be set however you feel comfortable. However, 73 degrees is the suggested setting as anything cooler could cause your indoor coil to freeze, effectively shutting down your unit until it melts.
